About Me

Get to know me

My name is Isaac Mpuchane — a safari guide and wildlife photographer whose life has been shaped by the wild heart of Botswana. For more than fifteen years I have guided tourists through the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Savute, the Makgadikgadi–Nxai Pans.. My work has always been about more than sightings — it’s about storytelling. Whether through guiding or through the lens, I strive to reveal the soul of the wilderness and the living rhythms that sustain it.

Photography as become an inseparable part of this journey  since my teenage years. What began with experimenting on film cameras has grown into a passion that now defines my professional life. Over the years, I have attended specialized photography trainings and had the privilege of working alongside renowned wildlife photographers whose mentorship sharpened my technical skills and creative vision. Today, my camera is as much a part of my guiding as my binoculars — every moment in the field is both a lesson and a frame waiting to be captured

My Journey

With over a decade of professional experience in wildlife photography and guiding, I have devoted my career to showcasing the raw beauty of Africa’s wilderness and helping others discover their own creative potential. My work has taken me across Botswana’s most iconic landscapes, with several years spent in Chobe National Park — one of the world’s premier wildlife photography destinations — where I refined my skills as a  photographic guide on the Chobe River.

This unique setting allowed me to master the technical and creative aspects of photography while mentoring others in the field. I combine strong technical knowledge with a natural ability to teach, guiding guests through every step — from understanding camera settings and improving composition to anticipating behavior and capturing the magic of golden-hour light.

My approach is shaped by patience, passion, and a deep respect for the environment. More than simply producing images, I aim to inspire others to grow in confidence, refine their artistic vision, and experience the joy of telling authentic wildlife stories through their lens.
